Venice, 2019
2019 was a year of growth and discovery. In the span of nine months, I lived in Little Rock, Venice, Fort Worth, and Boston. My paintings from this year reflect an increased interest in people-watching and exploring personhood within the public sphere. I ended the year by studying film and cinema sets as a way to capture narrative and mood in ways that are not as easily attainable through direct observation.
